Cristina Braga - Paisagem (2008)

Paisagem features Cristina Braga (harp and vocals, Brazil) and Eugene Friesen (cello and vocals, USA) and is a tribute to the great Brazilian songs of the second half of the 20th century. These incredibly beautiful pieces, with their melodies, harmonies and melancholic aspects, could have been written by classical composers, but were composed by popular Brazilian icons such as Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Francis Hime, Edu Lobo, Vinicius de Moraes, Ruy Guerra and Geraldo Vandré. On this recording, samba, jazz and classical music come together in a natural and poetic fusion, interpreted by two musicians who live, love and understand the different worlds.
