Five years after Ezio Bosso's premature death, his last unpublished chamber music works are released by Sony Classical, recorded for the first time after careful revision of the scores, in the masterly interpretation of four great soloists in two different chamber formations the Salento pianist and intellectual Francesco Libetta, by now the leader of the great Turinese composer's artistic legacy; the cellist and conductor Luigi Piovano, formerly Bosso's collaborator as first cello at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia; the violinist Grazia Raimondi and the young violin star Aylen Pritchin, among the most highly-rated artists on the best international stages. Both pieces mark crucial moments in Bosso's life: the Sonata for Violin and Piano No.1 Unconditioned is the original version from which the celebrated Following a Bird was later extracted. The Trio for violin, cello and piano No.2 Missed Steps composed in 2013, tells of his re-learning to walk and is inspired by the mystical path of the Rotating Dervishes. This album thus marks the first five-year anniversary of Bosso's death, completing the cycle of his compositions, while the whole year will be full of events dedicated to him.

Francesco Libetta, piano
Luigi Piovano, cello
Grazia Raimondi, violin
