Koncz Kriszta Group - Travel in Time (2025)

The Koncz Kriszta Group's first solo album, Travel in Time, covers a variety of topics, yet has a clearly recognizable face: it tells about childhood as well as the parent-child relationship, the nature of change, moments of creation, letting go, different forms of love and working time. The singer's own lyrics, written in English - just like the songs themselves - reflect on the author's personal experiences and visions. The band members are mostly professional jazz musicians, but they all have different musical pasts and backgrounds: among their studies and inspirations, classical music, pop music, folk music and theater music also stand out - the Group's songs are played in this colorful combination. The repertoire, rooted in jazz, sometimes reminiscent of pop, sometimes reminiscent of the sound of American folk from the sixties and seventies, also praises the orchestration work of Ábel Tompa.

Kriszta Koncz formed the band in 2023, and their first appearance took place within the framework of the 2024 Müpa Jazz Showcase, where they received the audience award and the special Harcsa Veronika award. Their first authorial album will debut in February this year, entitled Travel in Time. The entire musical material of the album can be heard live for the first time at this concert.
