One of the most unclassifiable American bands of the '90s. Their style was unique, wild, physical... and only they had it.

This live album is a powerful sonic document of one of the most unclassifiable American bands of the '90s. In 1995, Claw Hammer recorded a performance in Dallas during a tour where they often faced indifference and misunderstanding from audiences. Playing in a 750-capacity club for just two people wasn’t even the lowest point of the tour—earlier in Toledo, they received their highest payment yet but played for 90 minutes to a crowd that mostly left to listen to loud pop music in the basement.

By the time they reached Dallas, they no longer cared about audience size. The sound in the Trees club was excellent, and they recorded the show straight from the soundboard. The band had overeaten at a nearby Mexican restaurant and barely made it to the stage, which might have helped them play more controlled but technically solid. Throughout the tour, they focused on enjoying the music, regardless of turnout, and always gave their best performance.
