The cd is a tribute by the lombard bassist Andrea Grumelli to the life and works of Keith "Red" Mitchell. The recording project proposes, in fact, nine songs taken from the vast collection of the American musician, composer, singer, author and poet rearranged in a new, original ensemble based on Red Mitchell's chamber-like mood and melodic ideas. Andrea Grumelli is flanked by singer Monica Giuntoli, vibraphonist Michele Sannelli, baritone saxophonist Rosarita Crisafi and drummer Stefano Bagnoli.
