For their 10th album with Buda Musique, marking 30 years of fruitful collaboration with the label, Viviane Arnoux (France) and François Michaud (Quebec), founders of Musique Acoustique Machine, join forces with virtuoso guitarist Hervé Samb (Senegal) for an emotional and jubilant fusion of three continents’ musical cultures.

Traditional melodies and rhythms intertwine, reinvent, and transcend themselves, creating a vibrant sound infused with sparkling improvisations.

The trio, along with guest singer Maude Trutet, invites listeners on a poetic journey—soaring towards new encounters, blending and flourishing… all with a lighthearted whistle.

Maple trees and baobabs intertwine their sap, joyous Wolof echoes through sugar shacks, and there, the musette waltz meets the rhythm of sabar drums!

The tango du baluche shifts into a 5-beat groove, followed by a square dance balancing on 9, 10, or even 11 steps, before finally swirling into 12—whisking everyone off to Dakar, à la Maude orientale. A wild safari indeed! And then, like a scene from an Almodóvar film, an exquisite chanson moment emerges—refined and heartfelt, an intimate pause to share a divine tea, steeped seven times before savoring.
