Ole Thøger Quartet - In the Beginning of a Dream (2025)

The music on the album was written by Ole Thøger in 2023, and never before recorded.

Ole Thøger was very active on the Danish jazz scene from 1975-1995. Partly in his own groups with two albums, "Ole Thøger Quintet" (1979), "Ole Thøger Steady State" (1990), and in orchestras such as Frontline, Thad Jones Eclipse, Salsa Na Ma, Atilla Engin, Blast, Jazzgruppe 90 and many others.

Took a break from the music scene from 1995-2020 where he resumed his active work as a freelance musician and composer.

The music ranges from open improvisations to more traditional formats, all in a close and personal interplay between some of the strongest voices on the Copenhagen jazz scene.
