A jazz guitar virtuoso with a tendency to avant-garde and a hard rock bassist from the old Deep Purple school work out music together. Can this go well and sound good? Yes!

"Opposites attract" is not only a saying, but basically a general truth that is always true in the field of music. When two musicians meet with completely different stylistic approaches, not only does it create a challenge for the musicians as well as for their listeners, but it also evokes a tension that can take the musicality of both parties to a new level. The jazz guitarist represents the avant-garde and the experimental openness, the hard rock bassist the force and directness. However, in the combination of these different forces lies the potential for something unpredictable, for a creative explosion.
And that's exactly what the two have aimed for: Michael Sagmeister, the master of jazz guitar between hard bop and fusion, acoustic jazz music and rock jazz on one side and Werner Eismann, hard rock bassist with many years of experience in his Deep Purple tribute band "purple" on the other.
