The Cakes' debut album is a premier item for girl group enthusiasts! Among the girl groups that emerged in the 1960s, the three-piece The Cakes created a unique mood. The Cakes were one of the most unique girl groups to emerge in the 60's, and despite having no hits that made it into the US Hot 100, they released two albums in 1967 and 1968, which was unusual for the time. This is the first one released in 1967, and it is a masterpiece that is full of their charm from Spector style to R&B style, blessed with talented staffs such as Jack Nitschke & Jackie DeShannon, the authors of their debut song "Baby That's Me," members of Wrecking Crew, and Dr. John.
