Under the name Lero, Hamilton's Ben Dyment has been steadily building a body of work since 2012. Releases on labels such as Metaphysical Circuits, Arachnidiscs Recordings and Lighten Up Sounds have showcased an artist in continual movement, shifting from contemplative ambient efforts, outwardly charged rock and roll, to art damaged folk songs.

Young Attendant, his first double album and second release with Milwaukee's Geology Records label, is perhaps the most poignant song-based Lero collection to date. While not a concept album in the traditional definition, there is a feeling of thematic unity flowing through the eighteen tracks, touching on themes of loss ('The Wake Robin', 'To the Guests'), sense of self ('Boundless', 'Glitter of Help'), and the highs and lows of memory as an inherently flawed artifact ('Black Caliber', 'After the Core'). The addition of live drums as a consistent element helps bring about a definite feeling of progression from earlier efforts.
