Born in Istanbul in 1925, İlham Gencer took to the stage for many years as one of the pioneers of jazz and pop music in Türkiye. Gencer, who laid the foundations of Turkish pop music with his 1961 single 'Bak Bir Varmış Bir Yokmuş', won awards at many festivals and shaped the careers of many artists with his own Çatı Gece Kulübü.

Released under the label A.K. Müzik, The Legend B.I.G. A very special album, both emotionally and musically, with two duets by İlham Gencer and his daughter, jazz vocalist Ayşe Gencer, whom we lost in 2022.
