French synthwave artist Arne Vinzon returns with his fifth album, À propos de fantômes, a poetic and satirical exploration of nostalgia, technology, and societal unrest. Reuniting with collaborator Matthieu Devos, the duo revives and expands earlier minimalist tracks with richer arrangements.

Blending humor, melancholy, and surreal soundscapes, the album reflects on modern alienation while embracing the “ghosts” of the past—memories, people, and cultural echoes. Tracks like “Kepler 452b” critique humanity’s destructive path, while others offer dreamlike escapes.

A cross between Bashung, Morricone, and Jay-Jay Johanson, Vinzon continues to craft his signature strange, dark, and playful pop, dancing out of sync with the modern world.
