T.R.E. (tri rational eccentric) in 2005 won the «Padova Porsche Jazz Festival» competition in the «Youth» category, causing a great sensation among the professionals. The main trade magazines have talked about it, allowing them to carve out a small space and over the last few months they have taken their extraordinary project around Italy. Abeat released their debut album, entitled “Passaggi” (ABJZ 037) which achieved excellent critical acclaim and excellent success in some foreign countries, especially Japan. This new work testifies to a completely improvised recording. A challenge with oneself, widely won, which demonstrates not only the excellent artistic caliber of the trio and their superfine sensitivity but also the extreme and never fully explored possibilities that only the alchemy of music, through the meeting of splendid artists , can reserve. The sound of this new album for Abeat is unique and very original, fresh and modern. Language is a skilful blend of various elements fused in a new way; a trio that is outlining a new way in the sometimes asphyxiated panorama of contemporary jazz? The music is introspective and passionate, the choral fruit of three strong aesthetic personalities united by an uncommon sense of risk and invention. It flows smoothly and without sagging as if it were not “totally improvised music” but a project studied and tried again: all this is the result of a complete identity of intentions and “superior” strength.
