Selman Faris - KAPLAN, voyage vers l'Est (2025)

Over the course of the 12 tracks on his album *Kaplan*, Selman Faris takes us on a journey between Turkey and Japan, to the rhythm of electro tracks infused with the sounds of guitars, Ney, beats tinged with jazz and traditional Turkish music. Drawing on his education at the conservatory, CIM, the American School of Modern Music in Paris, and later at CalArts in Los Angeles, Selman composes, produces, and plays several instruments (viola, guitar, piano, ney…).

Since 2016, the producer has closely collaborated with the Don Dada label, co-founded by Hologram Lo’ and Alpha Wann, which has allowed him to work as a beatmaker, composer-arranger, and musician on the album *UMLA*, *Don Dada Mixtape, Vol. 1*, as well as collaborate with Nekfeu, Sneazzy, PLK, Infinit’, and also with Laylow, Krisy, Jäde, and Deen Burbigo. At the same time, he released a joint project with K.S.A. titled *Monaco*, and composed for Stromae on his latest album *Multitude*.
