Kjetil Husebø turns fifty on 2 May 2025 and will mark the occasion with the release of his twelfth album, Piano Transformed - Interspace, which will be released on April 4th. This will be his first double album and takes the listener on a musical journey through Husebø's artistic landscape.
This 18-track solo double album explores a broad spectrum, from beautiful and melodic parts to abstract and minimalist expressions, and on to more challenging and confrontational soundscapes. The album embraces everything from the simple and naked to the more produced and complex.
Piano Transformed - Interspace was recorded at Ugla lyd, Nesodden, during three intensive days in May 2024. Husebø was responsible for the production, with Juhani Silvola as co-producer and sound engineer. The album was mixed by Husebø himself in his own studio in autumn 2024 and mastered by Helge Sten. The visual expression of the album is designed by Lucas Dietrich. Liner notes by Tore Stavlund.
