Mandeng Groove is a six-piece multicultural ensemble based in Melbourne that blends the driving rhythms of West African Manding tradition with elements of Western jazz and improvisation. Founded by Guinean-Australian multi-instrumentalist Amadou Kalissa and Australian guitarist Kyle Muir, the group’s mission is to craft new music inspired by Manding heritage through collaborations with a diverse range of artists.
