Myron Walden - Flutes & Strings (2025) [Hi-Res]

Released April 2025, this is a foundational project for our label, planned for almost a decade since we saw Myron play with a string section at Small’s Jazz Club in Greenwich Village in 2016. Of course Myron has been one of our label favorites for 30 years, from his run of criminally underrated leader CDs in the mid-1990s through his stellar work with the Brian Blade Fellowship to his participation on our own Ray Angry One. Yoojin Park, the brilliant violinist who graced our Antero Sievert The _Underscore and Catriona Sturton Night Bell releases, also contributed mightily to this ethereal-yet-visceral beauty. Our first pressing done by Quality Record Pressing in Salina, KS.
