Terri & Monica were an American R&B duo active in the early to mid-1990s. Both singers originally performed as part of the group The Gyrlz, which released the album Love Me or Leave Me in 1988. After the departure of the third member, Tara Geter, Terri Robinson and Monica Payne continued as a duo under the name Terri & Monica.

In 1993, they released their debut album Systa on Epic Records. The album became a notable example of female R&B from that era, blending soul, hip-hop, and elements of new jack swing. Key tracks included the singles "Uh Huh" and "Intentions," along with "I've Been Waiting," which was featured on the Poetic Justice movie soundtrack.

Systa stood out for its strong female perspective, relevant themes for its time, and showcased the duo's vocal and songwriting talents. Terri & Monica’s music also featured collaborations with artists like LL Cool J and Shabba Ranks. Later, Terri Robinson co-wrote hits for groups such as Total and Soul for Real.
