Mason Razavi - People, Places, and Monsters (2012)

People, Places, and Monsters - it comes off as a quirky album title in the otherwise stoic and serious classical guitar world. Yet, almost all of the music here has been inspired by a person, place, or in fact by a great big monster that you will meet by watching the Monster Suite DVD. The Monster suite stands alone in the classical guitar world musically and thematically, and with the addition of the visual element it is the only work of it's kind. Other album highlights include Lenny's Waltz, a jazz waltz opus dedicated to, and in the style of, the late fingerstyle jazz icon Lenny Breau.
