Robyn Rocket and People You May of Heard of is a groundbreaking musical collaboration uniting experimental jazz veterans like Charles Hayward and John Edwards, vibrant figures from London’s Total Refreshment Centre scene like Alabaster DePlume and Danalogue, and artists from the learning disability and autism art community such as Sebastian Golgiri and Dean Rodney Jr. Led by autistic space trumpeter Robyn Rocket, this genre-defying project blends free jazz, dance beats, and spoken word across three studio sessions rooted in her communities.

Featuring over 20 musicians (and a dog), the project emphasizes improvisation, inclusion, and the celebration of difference. Its culminating track, We Are All Human, includes a moving speech by Rocket about mutual support and belonging, echoing her inclusive event series Robyn’s Rocket at Café OTO.

The work challenges historic exclusion of disabled people and embodies a modern, collaborative spirit. Rocket, shaped by personal experiences of marginalization, uses music to build welcoming spaces for artists and audiences of all abilities. As Gilles Peterson puts it: “Just one word: listen!”
