Lido Pimienta - La Belleza (2025) [Hi-Res]

Lido Pimienta’s new album La Belleza marks a bold step into orchestral music, where European classical tradition intertwines with her Caribbean roots.

She recorded the album using Ableton and a MIDI controller, with Owen Pallett serving as arranger; together, Pimienta found inspiration in Luboš Fišer’s soundtrack for Valerie and Her Week of Wonders.

The lead single, “Mango,” is a poetic song about love, nature, and freedom, dedicated to the ritual of picking mangoes straight from the tree.

The album draws on liturgical influences—from castrato choirs to the choral hymn Lux Aeterna—aiming to reinterpret concepts of beauty, sensuality, and heritage.

According to Pimienta, La Belleza tells a story of soul transformation, life, and death, representing the next chapter in her artistic journey.
