Mickki Brown - Standard Truth (1998)

Drummer Alvin Queen, bassist Nathan East, and soloist Gerald Albright join in, livening up the album with their soulful playing. The song selection is also the royal road of standards. A head-on challenge, you can enjoy plenty of high-quality songs that are typical of orthodox jazz vocals. The last song in particular is "Smile" is moving. It's worth remembering as one of the best female vocal albums of the 90s.
