Shall Not Fade regular Newborn Jr teams up with vocalist Annjet for the debut album under their Krush Klubb project. With a focus on atmospheric melodies and spaced-out synths, Zone Out delivers a refreshingly wide-eyed take on electronic music. "Hey, It's Me" sees the pair flirt with pop music as tinkling piano keys support Annjet's soft-focus tones. "Friends" is their interpretation of deep house, as crisp drums support uplifting pads. And as befits a work whose title encourages distance from the grind of daily life, there's no shortage of blissed out sounds - audible on the dreamy break beats of "Evo" and "Absolu". It's time to switch off and zone out.
