“Sånga” is a multimedia art project that combines music and visual art. The album includes 8 musical compositions and 8 visual works created by Karin Granqvist. These images are presented as separate sheets inside the record sleeve. Neither the musical nor the visual pieces have titles, emphasizing the concept of free interpretation and the interaction between the two art forms.

The album’s musical style is described as experimental and cinematic. Recording took place in three stages, one of which was on June 24–25, 2014, in Karin Granqvist’s studio in Sånga, Ångermanland.
