Liam Finn - The Howl (2025) [Hi-Res]

Liam Finn is a New Zealand musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, born on September 24, 1983, in Melbourne, Australia. He is the son of Neil Finn (frontman of Crowded House and former member of Split Enz) and the nephew of Tim Finn.

His latest album, The Howl, was released on April 17, 2025. The title track was originally written for Crowded House’s 2024 album Gravity Stairs, where Liam is a band member and co-writer. He later reworked it for his solo project Hyperverse, which is set for digital release on June 20, 2025.

Musically, The Howl blends indie rock with elements of dream pop and shoegaze, evoking a mood of "eternal blue dusk." Liam describes the song as a reflection on repetitive cycles in relationships, comparing it to the film Groundhog Day.
