Voyage is a musical project and album born from a series of collaborative sessions among musicians, capturing the essence of life as a journey—both personal and musical. The process involves conversations, creativity, spontaneity, shared moments, and joy. These sessions lead to recordings, seen as milestones—snapshots that reflect where the musicians have been and where they're headed.

The album features 11 tracks, each representing a unique musical idea or experience. The title track Voyage plays with motifs and rhythmic signals that guide improvisation. Other tracks explore diverse influences: African rhythms (Gnawa, Wolof), swing, Nordic ballads, and waltzes, all shaped by the musicians’ travels and perspectives.

From Oslo’s Botanical Gardens (Botanisk Hage) to Bergen’s jazz echoes, the album moves like a train ride through memory and imagination. It ends with Demring ("Dawn"), a gentle reflection on the passage of time and the beauty of shared musical journeys.

Written by Arne Skorpe Sjøen in April 2025, this statement encapsulates the spirit of Voyage: a heartfelt celebration of creativity, connection, and exploration through music.
