This 1976 album marks the Osborne Brothers’ debut on CMH Records, recorded on July 21 at Arthur Smith Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina. Long-awaited by fans, the album blends new material with a few selections from their earlier MGM era, including “Each Season Changes You,” “Memories Never Die,” and “Fair and Tender Ladies.”

Instrumental highlights include “Say Old Man” and “Rutland’s Reel” on mandolin by Bobby Osborne, and “Rueben” on 5-string banjo by Sonny Osborne, with fiddle by Bobby. Longtime collaborator Dale Sledd contributes vocals and guitar, while Bobby’s son Robby Osborne plays electric bass.

Released at a time when the group was enjoying major recognition—including six consecutive years as the No. 1 Bluegrass act in Music City News polls and a historic 1971 CMA Bluegrass Award—this album reflects their strong roots and enduring appeal.
