Franco-American composer, producer, and conductor Uèle Lamore unveils her most ambitious work to date with The Magnificent Day of Giacomo P., a bold and cinematic reimagining of Giacomo Puccini’s operatic music through the lens of modern electronica, ambient, and film scoring aesthetics.

Blending sweeping orchestration with synth bass, electric guitars, and dynamic percussion, Lamore transforms Puccini’s timeless melodies into immersive, emotionally rich soundscapes. The album includes 11 tracks, among them her own original composition, “The Cursing of Giacomo P.”, which blends ambient textures with her signature guitar work.

Inspired by Puccini’s hyper-dramatic, emotionally charged operas, Lamore reinterprets the composer’s legacy using cinematic storytelling techniques, bridging classical tradition with contemporary experimentation. The album took nearly four years to complete and is envisioned not only as a record but as a live immersive performance with orchestra, synths, and drums.

Lamore’s background in film scoring—including work on Above Water and Riposte Féministe—informs the album’s narrative depth and sonic detail. More than a tribute, The Magnificent Day of Giacomo P. is a genre-defying reinvention of Puccini’s work, reinforcing Lamore’s place as one of the most original and innovative voices in contemporary music.
