Aboutface - Los Bosquesinos (2025) [Hi-Res]

Aboutface partners with the Wampís people of Amazonian Peru to create a powerful sonic exploration of ecological and spiritual interconnectedness.

The album is rooted in Nampets – traditional Wampís songs sung from the perspective of rainforest animals, recorded during a month-long residency in the Amazon.

These field recordings and cultural insights were transformed into four improvised musical performances, each expressing a unique animal’s world and emphasizing that humanity and consciousness exist across all life forms—a multinaturalist view.

This release merges field recordings, improvised performance, and traditional song, creating a genre-blurring, immersive experience.

It serves as both a musical ritual and a call to environmental justice, foregrounding Indigenous agency and the sacred bond between music, culture, and land.
