VA - Compost Eclectic Selection, Vol. 1: Reach The Sky - Vintage Treasures (Compiled & mixed by Art-D-Fact) (2025)

After two decades and more than 500 releases, Compost Records started to bundle some of its finest tunes as Various Artists digital download compilation albums. The variety and full spectrum of Compost’s repertoire has never or rarely been presented in form of a musical genre compilation. These releases will be compiled or DJ-mixed by Compost’s artists and are available as digital downloads, except in some rare cases very very limited as 500 CDs.

Compost Eclectic Selection is a fresh concept within the Compost Selection-series, focussing on the rich catalogue of the label, which was established in de mid 90's. The idea is simple, the Eclectic Selection is about multi-genre music picks of the highest quality standard. A listening session with a nice flow, boarder crossing genres.

A little like the well know AnotherLateNight / LateNightTales-series, which you might know. Art-D-Fact and Rupert & Mennert, who have joined forces many times before, did two separate selections, which can be seen as a 2-CD concept (who remembers CD's?) with two chapters.

The first chapter is selected by Art-D-Fact, who selected material from the early Compost-years and 00's mainly. With quality downtempo tunes, cinematic flavours, chill-out (with vocals), broken beat/nu- jazz etc. Building up the tension with calm, laidback tunes to pre-party music in mid-tempo.
