Ghost Riders is a beautifully curated garage soul compilation from 1965–1974, released by Naarm/Melbourne label Efficient Space and curated by Swiss collector Ivan Liechti. It’s a nostalgic, emotionally rich 2LP journey capturing the melancholic twilight of teenage dreams and fleeting fame.

The 17 tracks span garage soul, folk pop, and lo-fi rock, delivered by mostly one-off bands and artists swept up in rock’n’roll fever, only to return to suburban life.

These tracks come from regional obscurities across the U.S. (Illinois, Texas, Ohio, Idaho, etc.), sourced from unusual places like fire departments and animal shelters.
