Music has been a sacred practice that unites people and the earth. Artist Lyra Pramuk presents the album Hymnal as a collective medicine, combining elements of art, biology and cultural theory. Her music combines experimental vocals and electronics to create a unique sound. The album is inspired by stringed instruments and improvisations recorded in different places in Italy. The lyrics are written by poet Nadia Marcus and served as the basis for a unique experiment with the creation of a visual score. Hymnal presents a book of worship songs, calling for cosmic interconnectedness and addressing the crises of time. The album calls to mind the communal roots of music and to our own power in the process of transformation.
