Horror has never proven Ennio Morricone's strong suit, and Wolf is another flawed entry into the genre. It's an awkward combination of noir jazz and irritating electronic effects, making the music too fragmented and rote to achieve a sufficient measure of chills and thrills. Morricone focuses too much on the music's atonal elements, never establishing a conventional melodic framework within which to operate; moreover, his sound effects are more grating than terrifying, further upsetting a score with little sense of balance or cohesion.~Wolf - Original Soundtrack - Review by Jason Ankeny
