Quartz - Quartz & Camel In The City (2024)

In France, in the late 70s, another electronic musician named Didier appeared. In 1978, the Quartz project was created, which included a musician named Didier Plu. But unlike Didier Marouani and Guinochet, he was a drummer, and did not show himself in the composer's field (unlike, say, Jean-Marc Cerrone or Roger Rizzielli, or Pierre-Alain Dahan).

The main part of the tracks of the debut album of the same name was recorded by Christian Langlade, hiding under the nickname Chris Quartz and also known to us under the name Saint-Preux (he was the producer of two albums of the band). And in addition to Plu, Quartz also included Laurent Taieb and Christian Langlade's brother Patrick, who also made his mark on this album. The Quartz album was recorded at the Sydney Bechet studio and released by the Vogue label.
