Catalan band Fam de Funk releases The Top of the Groove, an album recorded with legendary saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis

Fam de Funk was founded in 2003 by keyboardist Joan Carles Capdevila and trombonist Lluis Pascual. They will be joined by musicians such as saxophonists Gloria Torres and Toni Solá, trumpeter Leonardo Torres, guitarist Eugeni Gil, bassist Matías Míguez, and drummer Daniel Levy, as well as vocalist Belén Alonso, to form a powerful nine-piece lineup. For The Top of the Groove, they collaborated with legendary saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis, a member of the JB Horns, James Brown's horn section, which he was part of with Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley. The band's overwhelming funk sound is evident in every track on this album, for which you can enjoy the video presentation.

In this edition, we present the album by the Catalan band Fam de Funk, along with other new releases from Mikael, Michael Martin, Clif Payne, Ed Calle, and Ed Motta. In remembrance, one of the last works by the legendary Billy Preston and 1970s music by Hungarian guitarist Gabor Szabo.
