Cain - Lineage (2025)

With Lineage, Scottish producer CAIN pushes beyond the confines of experimental electronic and Highland Celtic music. Drawing on his competitive bag-pipe background, he fuses precise percussion with deep harmonic colour, crafting tracks that ignite peak-time dancefloors yet reveal intricate detail through headphones. The album features childhood friends Brìghde Chaimbeul on Scottish small pipes, James Mackenzie on flute, and Gaelic vocals by Katie Mackenzie, recorded on the isle of Bernera in the Outer Hebrides and in Edinburgh. Lineage is CAIN’s tribute to the beauty and power of Highland musical heritage.
