The lead single, and title track from Brendon Walmsley’s new album begins our journey with him on the Road To Riverleigh. It’s a nostalgic detour featuring the people whose love and influence have given a glimpse of what heaven might be like.

Brendon Walmsley is recognised as one of country music’s finest singer-songwriters and a recipient of numerous awards including Star Maker and 3 CMAA Golden Guitars. His songs are not just catchy tunes. They are perceptive stories of the joys and struggles of life; the importance of love and family; and the strength that comes through faith.

Brendon featured prominently on the Australian country music landscape throughout the early 2000’s, touring with acts such as Troy Cassar-Daley, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, Adam Brand, Tania Kernaghan and Melinda Schneider. He released three critically and commercially acclaimed albums through Compass Bros Records before dedicating his focus to family and leading the music and production teams at his local church in Toowoomba.

Despite the break from regular recording and touring, Brendon continued to showcase that rare ability to draw an audience into the world of his songs at various festivals, community events and concerts. He’s also ventured into musical theatre having performed in a number of productions over the past decade, including the production of his own musical based on his hit song “Rose & Rodeo”.

2024 has seen Brendon make a long-awaited return to the studio, recording an inspiring new collection of his delicately crafted songs with renowned producer Rod McCormack. This will be Brendon’s fourth studio album with an anticipated release in early 2025.
