Scafell Pike was a Swedish-English (-Irish, towards the end) band from Stockholm that took its name from Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. The band had great success during the 1970s with their interpretation of British folk music. They also interpreted Bellman and Taube. Under the name "Jerry K. Gustafsson and the popular ensemble Scafell Pike" they achieved success with "It's so healthy and strengthening in the mountains". The band started as a trio in 1971 with Derek Hudson, vocals/guitar, David Hynes, keyboards and Roy Colegate, bass. During the band's heyday in the mid-seventies they were produced by Anders "Henkan" Henriksson.
