This is the second album in Toshiki Kadomatsu's "REBIRTH" series. It includes self-covers and covers of Western songs. It has an AOR feel, and is based on the concept of releasing songs that have been performed live. The second self-cover and Western music cover album! The first production limited edition [DISC2] includes the original soundtrack of the musical "Tokyo Boys & Girls".
The album name and art is a homage to the David Foster and Jay Graydon self-tiled album "Airplay," an album only known these days for being the original version of "After the Love is Gone" by Earth, Wind, & Fire. The album itself is just a re-recorded compilation of Toshiki Kadomatsu's 80s hits, with the exception of track 2 Cryin' All Night which is the cover of an Airplay track, and track 5 which is a cover of the Earth, Wind & Fire hit, which apparently later did well in Japan as a Dionne Warwick cover produced by Jay Graydon. A bit of an odd work.
