The score for Corrado Rito's film, starring Lou Castel as a troubled young university student who returns home after political indoctrinations may have sent him too far down the rabbit hole. Savina’s short score is characterized by a baroque feel, reinforcing the "prodigal son" theme with children’s vocals, lullabies, and a cembalo. For the first time, this release includes the main and end credits featuring Edda dell’Orso, which were replaced in the film with classical and folk music respectively.
