Pinkshift return with Earthkeeper, an album forged in the fallout of instability and hyper-surveillance. Written after years of relentless touring with the likes of Mannequin Pussy, PUP, and Pussy Riot, the Baltimore trio — vocalist Ashrita Kumar, guitarist Paul Vallejo, and drummer Myron Houngbedji — channel a sharper, more emotionally grounded sound than their 2022 debut.

Set against a backdrop of anxiety, grief and guarded hope, Earthkeeper explores personal loss and existential dread in an era where privacy feels like a fantasy. The band’s evolution is shaped not just by experience, but by exposure — to new cities, new crowds, and the diverse musical DNA of their peers. “There’s bits and pieces of all these bands we wouldn’t otherwise have listened to that have weaved their way into our songwriting,” says Myron.

Pinkshift stand for unity and action, but this time they’re aiming closer to the heart. “With this record, I'm trying to inspire you to give a fuck,” Ashrita says. Earthkeeper is the sound of a band reshaped by the world — louder, wiser, and ready to fight back.
