The Good Ones - Rwanda Sings With Strings (2025) [Hi-Res]

For their fifth album, Rwandan duo The Good Ones fulfilled a dream — recording Adrien Kazigira’s songs with strings for the first time. Producer Ian Brennan brought in a cellist and violinist with no preparation; within minutes, they were improvising together in a Washington, D.C. hotel room. Nineteen songs were captured in three hours, all in single takes. The result is a warm, unguarded meeting of voices, guitars, and strings, echoing African balladeers like Boubacar Traoré alongside Nick Drake and early Leonard Cohen.
