"wHIMSY" is an experimental jazz project by R&B artist Destin Conrad. The album is a surprise release and marks a detour into jazz for the singer. Conrad himself describes "wHIMSY" as an "off the cuff, free idea" and his "passion project." The record reflects his desire to reinvent what jazz means to him, stemming from his years in a Jazz Choir during high school. The album features collaborations with artists such as Terrace Martin, James Fauntleroy, Keyon Harrol, Vanisha Gould, and Ambré. The 11-track set is best experienced when played in sequence, allowing listeners to be fully immersed in Conrad's whimsical world of jazz as he interprets it.
