Riyoko Takagi - Midnight in Blue (2025) Hi-Res

"Midnight in Blue" is the fourth album from Takagi Riyoko x Steelpan Records. Following the previous three albums from Takagi Riyoko x Steelpan Records that topped numerous jazz charts, this latest release is the fourth in a series of straight-ahead jazz releases. Like her previous album, "The Piano Story," the rhythm section features some of Japan's top musicians (bassist Yosuke Inoue and drummer Hiroyuki Noritake). The album is centered around slow ballads and original and standard songs with poignant melodies, perfect for the long nights of fall and winter 2023.

The mastering was done by Jett Galindo, a protégé of legendary mastering engineer Doug Sax. His masterful work includes artists ranging from Selena Gomez to Neil Young, Diana Krall, and Paul McCartney. This is the album for relaxing and relaxing adult moments.
