The Osmond Brothers, who were making great strides in the U.S. in the 1970s, released this hidden masterpiece in 1965, and it is now being reissued for the first time in the world on CD. The beautiful chorus work that has always attracted fans goes without saying, and the two songs arranged by Terry Melcher and Bruce Johnston at the start of their collaboration are outstanding. Both songs have pleasant Beach Boys-style arrangements and choruses, and the album features a nice cover of "Mr. Sandman," "My Mom," co-written with Bobby Darin, and two gems that combine Melcher's sense of style with the Osmond Brothers' dynamism. Bonus track: from the first album (1963)
