With swinging samba and sensitive bossa nova interpretations reminiscent of balmy summer nights, warm summer rain, cool cocktails and Brazil in the 1960s, this music takes you into a magical world of sound and color.

This music transports you to a magical world of sound and color. Lisa Wahlandt's enchanting voice is charmingly ensnared by Mulo Francel's extravagant saxophone playing. Bossa Nova Affair – dreamy and sensual, at times playful, at times full of longing and a touch of melancholy.

The first duo project by Lisa Wahlandt and saxophonist Mulo Francel after a long-standing collaboration with Mind Games, this one is once again dedicated to their old love, Bossa. The outstanding musicians (D.D. Lowka, Walter Lang, Rüdiger and Gerwin Eisenhauer, Christian Diener, Robert Wolf, and many more) ensure that it never gets boring, especially Wahlandt with her gentle, precise voice and her idiosyncratic selection of songs. Alongside bossa classics like "Berimbau" and "Voce e linda," there are traditionals like "Greensleeves," the title track from Francis Lai's "Un homme et une femme," and original compositions by the duo. There, "O meu amor" (in Portuguese!), is a celebration of distant and unattainable love, and Mulo Francel tailors the song "As everybody sees I'm old-fashioned" to Lisa's heart. Warm music for cold winter evenings by the fireplace...

This album isn't just about the 'friendship of musical styles,' but also about the friendship between the princess of voice, Lisa Wahlandt, and her prince of rhythm, Mulo Francel. Wahlandt naturally takes center stage in the combo; her voice is straightforward, warm, and incredibly sensitive. Alongside "their fabulous Bossa Band," Francel joins her as saxophonist and arranger. He impresses with his imagination and joy in playing, both in front of and behind the instrument. Beyond the performance, several songs are by the royal children themselves… Jazz Dimensions, Jan Lautenbach
