This was Valentín's first recording made in Puerto Rico, and the one that introduced Frankie Hernández to the band. Moreover, it was the orchestra's first truly successful ticket for a mainstream audience. The swinging "Son Son Chararí" (composed by Roberto Angleró) and "Guarambembere" were the band's first major hits. "Mírate al Espejo" (also composed by Angleró) was sung by the composer. This recording was the stepping stone for Valentín's solid career on the island.~José A. Estévez, Jr.
