Ben Frost - Steel Wound (2004)

"Steel Wound" is the debut album by Australian experimental musician Ben Frost. The record is an ambient exploration in which Frost uses his own guitar recordings to create minimalist and atmospheric soundscapes. The music on the album is characterized by a calm and contemplative nature. Frost extracts unusual, sustained sounds from the guitar, which he then digitally processes to create a unique texture. In contrast to his later, more aggressive works, "Steel Wound" focuses on silence, space, and subtle, almost imperceptible changes in sound.
