Pete Rodriguez - Now! (1970)

Pete Rodriguez was a pianist, arranger, and orchestra leader born in the Bronx, New York, April 16, 1932. He started his career in the late 1950's and his early work saw the light in the early 1960's. 1966 was the year of a new record deal with Alegre Records and his coronation as The King Of Boogaloo. He released several LPs till the early 1970's, then the Boogaloo fever faded and his kingdom was gone. Recently, his music legacy has been recovered in several compilations, acclaimed by famous DJs and praised in the club scene around the world where he was still the King. Died March 11, 2024.
