This second collection of Spaniels cuts not only offers more wonderful leads from Pookie Hudson, but tunes that spotlight other worthy singers, particularly the great bass vocalist Gerald Gregory, who steps forward on "You Don't Move Me," "Jesse Mae," and the splendid title cut. Ernest Warren handles the lead on "Hey Sister Lizzie" and James Cochran moves out from the background on "I Like It Like That" and "Baby Sweets." Still, it's Hudson's transcendent voice and tones that ultimately stamp The Spaniels as a group to be remembered.~Ron Wynn
